Federico Mas is the founder of MasTennis, a dedicated hub for tennis players and coaches to access high-quality instruction, resources, and play opportunities. A former Division I player at Wright State University, Federico brings a wealth of coaching experience across a variety of settings. Throughout his career, he has successfully built and directed programs in tennis clubs across the Midwest and Southern United States.
Federico specializes in working with players of all levels—from beginners to advanced—developing engaging, high-impact programs that emphasize both skill development and community building. His approach fosters not only player growth but also lasting connections and friendships on the court.
In addition to his work with players, Federico is a certified coach trainer for one of the largest coach education organizations in the sport. He regularly leads workshops, delivers mentoring programs, and supports coaches in advancing their careers. He has been recognized as a Coach Developer of the Year and is a contributing author of articles, instructional content, and class curricula for tennis programs nationwide.

The questions below will help get to know you better as a player and will aid in setting up a plan for you to get the most of out of your lessons.
It’s important to have a very clear intention of what you want to do while playing a point (i.e. lobbing the player who is closer to the net, placing the ball at the feet of the opposing net player, etc.), but you must be able to execute shots by moving properly and using proper technique. Many times players don’t know why the point was lost.
